For real estate transactions, provide our contact information to your realtor so he or she can forward us a copy of your agreement of purchase and sale. From there, we will set up a file on our end and contact you closer to the closing date. If you are getting a mortgage or line of credit to facilitate your purchase, please have your lender forward us mortgage/line of credit instructions 5-10 business days ahead of your closing date. If you have any questions along the way, feel free to contact us.

For your first appointment, come prepared with a general idea of how you’d like your estate to be distributed. Always consider alternatives — if a beneficiary predeceases you, who would inherit in their place? Who will serve as your backup executor? Duncan will guide you through these decisions to ensure your plan is clear and comprehensive.
We typically begin by speaking with the executor of the estate. From there, we arrange a meeting with Duncan to determine the next steps, including probate, transferring property titles, distribution of assets, and other essential matters.
